Hamas atrocities are crimes against humanity!

Who are the external players that provided technologies need to disrupt Israeli’s high tech barrieres at the border with Gaza?

di Marco Mayer | 12 Ottobre 2023

Simply condemning Hamas’ attack is not enough. Alongside solidarity with the people of Israel, there must be a thorough analysis of the tragic events and their implications in terms of unprecedented threats, not only to Israel’s national security but also to international security.

This is a challenging task that politicians  must deal with, but an important contribution also lies with researchers in the fields of International Relations, Computer Science, Historians, Investigative Journalism, etc. and obviously involves  Intelligence analysts and operatives  (in the broader sense as used in the Anglo-Saxon world).

The first threat to examine is represented by the hundreds of Hamas terrorists who have killed over 1,200 Israeli civilians (with almost 3,000 injured), as well as decapitated Israeli children under the age of two, as confirmed by the BBC and the AP.

People capable of such atrocities should not remain at large because they can be capable of anything and act anywhere.

It’s not just a matter of Israel’s right to self-defense, but taking the initiative is an international duty, considering these horrendous war crimes and crimes against humanity. This issue must be urgently placed on the international political agenda; we cannot afford to wait for a new Simon Wiesenthal.

It is evident to all that Hamas terrorists, who on Saturday, October 7, burned villages, massacred entire families, and killed women and children, pose a threat to international security even before being an issue of justice and violation of international humanitarian law.

Regarding this analysis, it is right to adopt an uncompromising firmness, but we must not react impulsively. The formation of a new national unity government in Israel should favor a well-considered response capable of consolidating international solidarity towards Israel.

Simply reacting to the rightful outrage of the Israeli public is not enough; we need reactions consistent with a medium-and long-term strategy.

It is also important to promote accurate information. At this moment, misinformation reigns supreme. False Claims Around the Israel Attacks Include Recycled Videos and a Game Clip

A substantial part of this campaign originates in the Russian Federation and finds significant media space, especially on X (formerly Twitter).

The spotlight is increasingly on Elon Musk’s increasingly ambiguous role. In this regard, we must not forget the position recently taken by Vladimir Putin:

Elon Musk has not said a word about the death sentence of a Saudi citizen for criticizing the government in a post on Twitter.

Incidentally (at least for me), it remains a mystery how and why Elon Musk was nominated by the European parliamentary group for the Sakharov Prize.

Going back  to the massacres against Israeli civilians, one  must not forget the precedents. Almost no newspaper or social media remembers how Hamas took power in Gaza between June 12 and 14, 2007.

Hamas and the new configuration of power in the Palestinian territories – GNOSIS – Italian Intelligence Magazine

Hamas gunmen  – to take full control of the Gaza Strip – did not hesitate to kill, injure, and torture their Palestinian brothers, with nearly 400 killed and more than a thousand injured. If I remember correctly, an unspecified number of Palestinian Authority police officers were shot in the knees by Hamas commandos with the aim of spending the rest of their lives in a wheelchair.

The second unprecedented threat is represented by the complicity of states and/or non-governmental actors that allowed Hamas’ ground attack. It is too early to have a comprehensive answer, but what happened on Saturday also has a technological aspect. I recall, among other things, that Professor Isaac Ben Israel has repeatedly pointed out the delay in public funding for Artificial Intelligence projects submitted since 2019.

I have no idea if this could have changed anything.  Ben Israel has also highlighted how Israeli citizens have been accustomed for years to receiving thousands of rockets fired from Hamas positions in Gaza, while what happened last Saturday is something entirely different.

Under the “regular” cover of the thousands of rocket attacks, Hamas commandos entered Israeli territory with armored vehicles, committing massacres that from any angle constitute war crimes and/or crimes against humanity.  For now – aside from intelligence errors – it seems to me that for the moment only The New York Times and The Washington Post have emphasized the crucial question.

Who provided (and how)   the “disruptive” technology that could have blinded the technological devices in the border networks with Gaza arrive in Gaza?

I cannot say if it is a fake, but if the video below is authentic, it is impressive to a layperson like me. Could someone have implemented a jamming operation to block the sensor system from above? I limit myself to posing the question to those – among the collaborators of this  magazine – who are knowledgeable in the matter.
